Justin's heart raced as the shadows crept closer, their eyes gleaming in the dim light. He tried to run, but his legs felt like they were made of lead. The shadows enveloped him, wrapping themselves around his body, suffocating him.

And then, as suddenly as they had appeared, the shadows vanished, leaving Justin lying on the ground, gasping for air.

As he got up, Justin realized the horrifying truth. The shadows were not just projections of his subconscious. They were a manifestation of his own darkest thoughts and desires, his deepest fears and insecurities. And no matter how hard he tried, he could never escape them.

Justin felt a wave of despair wash over him as he realized that he was doomed to live the rest of his life under the shadow of his own darkness. He had thought that he had overcome his fears and insecurities, but now he knew that he could never truly escape them.

The shadows had shown him the true nature of his identity, and it was something that he could never escape. He had always been a prisoner of his own mind, and now, he knew that he would be for eternity.

As he walked back to his apartment, Justin knew that he would never be able to rid himself of the shadows, and he wondered if anyone could ever truly escape their own demons.
